Annie walton –
So glad I found this cookbook! The recipes are delicious, easy, and gentle on my stomach. It’s been a game-changer for my gastritis!
Mrs J Ormerod –
I was diagnosed with Atrophic Gastritis Stomach Sept 2024. The companion to the above cook book explained everything I ever wanted to know about this diagnosis and most importantly showed me how to move out of my current malnourished zone back to that of health. It will be a long journey, this I know.
This cookbook was a total game changer for me. To begin with my stomach could only tolerate 350 calories a day, mostly by way of ground oatmeal. I followed the 90 day healing program (religiously), I had come too close to organ failure not to. This cookbook was the only one that I needed, plus the recipes in the companion, ‘The Gastritis Healing Book’. Once I tried a FODMAP recipe, but found it was too much for my stomach to tolerate, I lost several valuable eating days as a consequence. My favourite recipes are many, but my weight gain favourites are the gluten free bread (with soup), the brownies and the banana loaf (I have a loss of 24 kilo to make up!), so typically make a double batch of each most weeks.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough; to be honest it has become the only one that I truly trust. I wish you well on your healing journey, coming from one who now feels safely upon hers. I have both of the original books in each of kindle and paper version. I am really excited about the new recipes in the 2nd edition and the extra detail in its companion and will therefore most definitely be buying both again.
